It’s more than 16.5% of children!
AND… 13% of children are on Social Networks!

Is social media the solution?
- Social media is an unavoidable part of today's kids' lives
- Kids use social media for everything
- 73% of teens are on a social network
- Teens hide social media from parents
- 67% of teenagers say they know how to hide what they do online from parents and
- 39% think their online activity is private from everyone, including parents
Social Media: Friend or Foe?• Social media can sometimes be bad for kids and fitness
• Many kids and teens have no idea how to maintain a healthy lifestyle
• Kids and teens turn to social media for answers
• Can fall into trap of crash diets, unhealthy workouts
So what can parents and teachers do? Ban kids from social media?

Social media to the rescue
