• Oil takes from 4 months to 4 years to degrade.

• It takes less time to degrade than other materials because of being a liquid material.

• Each year, about 200.000 tons of industrial oil is thrown to the ocean.

• When recycled, oil can be used as fuel.

The industrial oil used in cars, industrial machines, ships, etc isnt disposed properly, it pollutes not only the ground and surface water, also the underground water, wich affects directly the crops areas. If this kind of oil is thrown to the ocean, what happens very often, it will polute the ocean about ten years.

On the other hand, the oil we use in our houses should not be thrown on the pipes, the proper way to dispose of it is putting it into a plastic bottle and take it to a storage facility.

• The first step: the used oil must be putted in a plastic bottle, or in case of restaurants, a special container .

• Then, the used oil is taken to a primary storage facility. In case of restaurants, the used oil is storaged in the building.

• The used oil is collected from the storage centers or restaurants and taken by allowed companies.

• The used oil is filtered and poured, so then it can be used as a raw material for the production of biodiesel.

• Finally, the biodiesel produced is used in diesel engines.
