Introduction

1. A First Information Report is a document prepared by Police organization

2. Online FIR is to develop an online crime Reporting and management system which is easily accessible to the public ,the police Department and the administrative department.

3. An FIR is an important document because it set the process of criminal justice in motion.It is only after the FIR is Registered in the Police station that the police take up investigation of the case.

4. The person giving Information or making a complaint has a right to demand that the information is recorded by the police be read to him or her.

5. Once the Information has been recorded by the police it must be signed by the person giving the information

The Existing system is less secure due

the lack of registration facility to the complainer.

Online crime Reporting provides the functionality of Efficiently identifying , responding, and tracking complain issues and services requests.

The Primary goal of the e-crime process is to restore normal service operation as quickly as possible and minimize the adverse impact on crime reporting and status Updation, thereby ensuring the highest possible levels of service quality and availability

Advantages

Reduce Cost and Times:- E-crime can reduce the cost associated with creating and distributing paper Requirement and resumes.

Cost Saving Results from:- Direct Saving from Reduce Paper,Printing and distribution cost indirect saving from time spent handling paper documents.

Reduce and Eliminates manual Errors:- Manual Records must be than entered into a computer in order to be processed for future process or may be maintain into database for future requirement Online Information:- A good automated crime reporting than provide useful information to the citizens, Detactives and Defence officials online that they traditionally request from the store departments.

Disadvantages

When server is down, accessibility is may not be possible.

Not possible to communicate with each other physically.

Don’t Get response immediately after register FIR, it takes atleast 48 hours ..
