In today‟s world, companies having branches all over the globe are inclining toward Conference Meetings

using Video Conferencing Systems.

Did you know that 30-50% of a professional‟s time is spent in Meetings and Conference Rooms?? What‟s

even more shocking is that a portion of this time percentage is wasted due to some Technical Problems,

even if you are the sole owner of products based on latest technology, in terms of –

1. Connectivity:

Apple‟s Mini-DVI to DVI-D cable does not carry the analog signal coming from the mini-DVI

port on the Apple computer. Often on booting MAC, nothing gets displayed other than a flash

of blue light.

When connecting a VGA to a PC or Laptop to TV and Projectors, often some connection

problem message pops up saying “no signal using VGA”.

Miracast is limited to Wi-Fi Direct supported devices. Only works with Miracast enabled

devices so both the sending and receiving devices must support Miracast for the technology

to work.

No USB playback ability in Apple TV. No compatibility with other OS platforms such as

Windows, Linun, Android, ect.

2. Cable Problems:

The Apple Mini-DVI to DVI-D cable‟s package shows a DVI-I figure instead of DVI-D and does

not specify that it comes with only DVI-D.

Problems with VGA cables result in a loss of connection between two electronic devices or in

a lack of HD signal transfer to a television. This happens because VGA cables come in

different lengths and configurations.

3. Graphics Problems:

The display connected via Mini-DVI turns black, also Mini DVI when connected, often disables

other connected devices and have them disappeared from the Graphics tab of System

Profiler and so on.

VGA‟s are used to display most of the graphics screens such as the Spatial Data System,

Main Menu and Road Design. The problems faced are – (i)All black in full screen mode;

(ii)Black with flashing cursor in top left; (iii)Invisible mouse cursor; (iv)Multiple hourglass icons;

(v)Blurring and so on.

4. Resolution Problem:

Mini-DVI does not support dual-link connections and hence cannot support higher resolutions.

Low-resolution video (VGA Mode) in Windows, Linux, MAC. Forcing low-resolution video

(VGA) mode each time you start Windows.
