Choosing fonts and font sizes

Fonts are sets of chracters, numbers, and simbols in a specific style or desing.

By default, PowerPoint presentations have two fonts: one font for the headings and one for the body text.

Using autofit to change text size By default, texts in the

placeholder boxes on a slide layout are set to AutoFit, so that if you type more text into them than will fit, the text automatically gets smaller so that it will fit into the placeholder. If there is more room in the placeholder the text automatically will get lager.

Applying font styles and effects

Text on a PowerPoint slide can be boldfaced or italized, underlined, or formated with other atrributes such as strikethrought or shadow.

Changing font color An easy way to

change text appearance is to modify its color.

Use the Font Color button in the Font group to access a palette of colors you can apply to selected text.

Format Paiter is a tool that copies formatting from one block of text to another.

1. PowerPoint enable syou to create numbered lists

2. Numbered lists are used for procedural steps, action items, and other information where the order in which the items appear significant.

3. When you create a numbered list on a slide, you can continue it automatically after the last item by pressing Enter. PowerPoint automatically numbers the new paragraph with thenext number in the sequence of numbers so you can continue thelist uninterrupted.

You can apply WordArt styles to any text in a slide. This is another way to customize your presentation.

Adding a text box to a slide

Text boxes can be used to place text on a slide anyplace you want it.

If you click the side with the text box pointer, you create a text in which texdt will not wrap.

Resizing a text box

Text boxes can be resized to make room for the addition of other text boxes or objects.

If you want more control over formatting applied to a text box, you canuse the Shape Fill and Shape Outline tools to set the formatting for a text box on your own.

A thesaurus is a reference book or utility that offers suggestions for words that are similar in meaning to the word you are looking up (synonyms) or that are opposite in meaning (antonyms).
