Research into fonts for band/artist(especially for indie/rock)Most of the fonts for indie/rockbands/artists are simple, they are notover the top but are simple and quirky togive of the indie feel about them. Most ofthe fonts are conventional although TheLibertines and The King Blues have amore unconventional fonts, the rest aresimple. For singer songwriter artist suchas bon iver or Lucy rose have a handwritten font. 14. Fonts I am considering for my band/artistMy three final choices out of the fonts are, TravelingTypewriter, Learning Curve, Skinny. As I feel all thesefonts relate well to indie rock and to the image of myband/artist. I will decide what suits best whenproducing my magazine. 15. Band name? These are the possiblenames for my band, I willdecide the final name of myband when creating themagazine. 16. Artist NameThese are the possible names for myartist, I will decide the final name of myartist during magazine production 17. Colours Schemes I am consideringI feel that mycolour theme mustbe quite simple toas this is what ITheme 1 Theme 2 picked up throughmy research asmost rock/indiegenre musicmagazines have avery simplisticcolour schemethat is consistentthroughout themagazine. Sothrough thisevidence I havedecided I shouldTheme 3 Theme 4 include basiccolours such asblack and whiteand a bright colourto add personalityand fun to themagazine, NMEmagazine do thisvery well, 18. Colours themes I am consideringI would also like to use naturalcolours through out themagazine, I do not want thesecolours to clash with theoriginal colours. I would like touse these subtle colours onextra pieces of informationand inserts on pages that arenot directly related to what ison the page 19. Mode of AddressFor my magazine I am going to use a informal/colloquiallanguage, as I have seen this done in magazines that fit mygenre for example they use words such as fab and talk tothe reader is a friendly way to make a connection betweenthe reader, making them feel valued. The informallanguage will also relate well to how my audience talk andhow they communicate with their own peers, as my targetaudience will be young students it will relate to their ownpersonal mode of address. Although I would like to stickto a semi formal mode of adress an not lean towardscomplete street slang, as this is more related to hip hopand r&b fans not indie/rock fans.
