Hotspot FX brings the powerful benefits of an independent, transparent ECN marketplace structure to insti-tutional foreign exchange Trading. These benefits include full depth-of-book view, centralized price discov-ery, direct and anonymous market access, instantaneous Trading on live, streaming prices and robust real-time pricing, benchmark, and reference data.
Hotspot provides Marketdata via two different Marketdata feeds (snapshots and event based), for custom-ers to choose which feed is the most appropriate for their needs. Marketdata is published in a snapshot format via the Hotspot Java API and via the FIX Bookfeed API.
Marketdata is also available in a streaming event based format Hotspot ITCH.
Hotspot ITCH consumes more bandwidth (1Mb/sec) and requires that the Client app manage the state of the Hotspot book internally by applying events received over the feed.The advantage of this feed is that Client’s Marketdata will be as accurate as possible and will not have the possible 50ms delay of the snapshot feed.
Order entry is available via Hotspot Java API and via FIX Proxy. All order entry connections support SSL encryption for security.
For the plug-in, we used Hotspot ITCH for market data feed and FIX proxy for order handling
