What is podcasting?
Combination of iPod + broadcasting
Distributes multimedia files (audio, video, enhanced) for playback on mobile devices & personal computers - whatever suits you
Listen like radio
Access - as often as you like, wherever you like
Definition:
‘Podcasting is a web-based broadcast medium in which files are made available online in a way that allows software to automatically detect new files (generally via RSS), and download them. ‘ (Without this it’s and audio file but not a podcast)
‘A podcast can be thought of as an audio magazine subscription, in that a subscriber receives regular programs without having to remember to go & get them, and can listen or watch them at leisure.’
