Case Study 1: New platform Euronet Worldwide / OMV

• The project implemented a cross-border merchant acquiring solution for Euronet Worldwide, handling fleet cards and bank cards

• Polar Moment filled project management, implementation and testing roles through the project lifecycle

• Polar Moment migrated OMV’s business to the new platform processing all OMV retail outlets across 10 countries (including terminal replacement).

• Established and managed the second and third level operational support function

Case Study 2: Major platform upgrade CGI – Shell Global Fuel Forecourt

• The project implemented a data centre migration, a major software upgrade, and new business functionality for Shell globally.

• Polar Moment filled the solution architect, technical governance, systems testing and performance testing roles.

• The role involved coordination of large teams from CGI and Shell in the UK, Czech Republic and Malaysia.

• Implementation was delivered successfully with a big bang approach. CGI has asked Polar Moment to support several fuel projects as a result of this complex implementation.

Case Study 3: Testing HTEC - Asda

• The project implemented a payment platform for ASDA’s fuel stations in the UK. The project involved both indoor and outdoor payment terminals, handling fleet cards and bank cards

• Polar Moment filled the solution architect, platform installation, testing and accreditations roles

• The Polar Moment team set the testing strategy, sourced testing tools, created the test scripts, built the test platform and completed 3 cycles of functional testing within a six-month window

• HTEC now view Polar Moment as a key partner for both technical and payment industry related services

Case Study 4: Issuing CGI - Shell

• The project replaced Shell’s fuel card authorisation, issuing and back office system with the Fleetcor integrated solution

• Polar Moment was chosen because of its knowledge of fuel solutions and expertise in Shell’s business operation

• The Polar Moment team provided functional and performance testing (using test emulators) and operational support for the first country pilot

• Successful launch in December 2013

Case Study 4: Development Loyalty solution – World leading fuel company

• Polar Moment provided solution architecture, design and development of this real-time switching and back office loyalty platform

• Successfully integrated Tokheim, Air miles and our customer’s internal IT platforms to provide a seamless customer experience

• First country launch in Europe in September 2013

• Polar Moment is currently in discussions to extend the solution to Asia during 2014
