Status: Ongoing, Since August 2014. Description: Product Development of a unique smart sports tracker that uses 6/9 axis quaternion data to show 3d visualization & real time shot metrics. Our proprietary motion tracking algorithms provide insightful analytics to users so they can quantify and improve their game. The design requirements included ultra-light weight, ultra-low power, high reliability, impact durable and rugged design, 9 axis motion tracking, with wireless connectivity (120 meters) over BLE. We’ve since entered into a strategic partnership with this client and have an on-going relationship to manufacture and ship the sensors. The sensors have 10 hour battery time and are firmware upgradable. Metrics like shot speed, ball speed, angle, shot duration and type are available to players. Tech: Bluetooth Low Energy, 6/9 axis IMU integration, Ultra low power design. Applications: Real time motion tracking for sports (Golf, Cricket, baseball, Ski / Snowboarding) & Industrial Robotics. SMART GRID ENERGY MONITORING & MANAGEMENT SOLUTION Client: Own product /service for Energy sector, Pakistan Status: Completed, July 2014. Upgrades ongoing. Description: Built an energy monitoring solution for standard digital meters. The requirement was to make electricity metering data available online without need to upgrade existing equipment. We developed an ultra-low power device that communicated with different meters based on the IEC-62056- 21 standard and transmitted the data via GPRS to the internet. This is the only inter-portability compliant solution that can be integrated with ALL the existing metering infrastructure in Pakistan. SMART SPORTS SENSOR FOR FIELD HOCKEY

Client: Dita Hockey, Netherlands.

FLEET MANAGEMENT/ ASSET TRACKING SYSTEM

Client: Own product in collaboration with Creatrixe Pvt Ltd, Pakistan

Status: Completed, December 2014. Upgrades on-going.

Description: Built custom hardware/software according to requirements. The M2M solution incorporated acquiring OBD-II data from vehicles and

making it available online. The device is a GPS/GPRS enterprise grade vehicle tracking solution (Fleet Management) with Jamming Detection (JD) & Active

Interference Cancellation (AIC) technology. GPRS is used to upload JSON encoded packets to the cloud notifying the server of each vehicles location,

including history, engine diagnostics & fuel levels. A host of other peripherals can be connected to the device via proprietary interfaces.

Tech: ARM processors (32 bit, STM32 Cortex M1), GSM/GPRS modems, accelerometers, GPS/ GLONASS, power optimized /battery operated circuits,

RTOS, data logging, Bluetooth 3.0, Web portal and dashboard, historical data visualization.

Applications: Fleet tracking, Asset tracking, customized solutions, embedded intelligence and GIS based remote monitoring.

REAL-TIME RFID BASED WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK

Client: Confidential, Pakistan.

Status: Completed, August 2014. Updates ongoing.

Description: Real time pledge / donation collection visualization system. The client required this for various donor events where users could make

pledges via RFID wristbands and the all the collection total info is available in real time. We used BLE enabled RFID readers.

In addition to this, we also developed a proof of concept real time shop floor tracking system with scalable RFID read/write devices forming a wireless

sensor network monitoring the production of textiles on the factory floor in real-time. All RFID units were connected to a central Data Concentrator unit

(DCU) that was built for this particular application.

Tech: Proprietary RF solution, 433M/900M/2.4 GHz radios, NFC/RFID, BLE, REST API, MySQL, Meteor

Applications: Event Management, Access control, Attendance solutions, Supply chain traceability, shop-floor tracking, Warehousing, Shipment and

Status: Ongoing, completed March, 2015. Beta testing in progress.

Description: We’ve developed a software application that enables businesses (doctors/pharma/educators) to communicate/engage more frequently

via text messages & automated voice calls. The application tracks each patient’s history & their stores their medical records in a safe & secure manner.

The software has different purpose built variants for Education, Corporate Trainings and Pharmaceutical industry.

Tech: .NET framework, REST API, secure transport layer for data security, Load balancing, Horizontal scalability, Off-line data Sync features, JSON

WIRELESS RFID /NFC TAG READER DEVICES (BLUETOOTH LOW ENERGY)

Status: Completed, July 2014.

Description: Design & development of a hand-held RFID/NFC tag reader for 13.56 MHz (both ISO 14443 & ISO 15693 versions). The readers can

communicate via BLE with any smartphone / tablet or be connected to the cloud via IoT bridges.

Tech: BLE, NFC, RFID (13.56 MHz), Battery powered, worked on ergonomics for comfortable one handed operation.

Applications: Event Management, Access control, Attendance solutions, Supply chain traceability, shop-floor tracking, Warehousing, Shipment and

package tracking, security applications.

GAS FLOW CONTROLLER

Status: Completed, Nov 2013.

Description: Development of a gas flow controller to regulate gas flow in gas water heaters. The aim was to optimize gas usage in residential and

commercial geysers. The device turns hot water geysers at pre-programmed & configurable times of the day to save on natural gas usage. We designed

an actuator (with reverse leakage value) that has been tested and complies with SNGPL Safety standards.

Tech: Ultra-low power, STM32 M0 Cortex micro-controller, RTC, IP-54 protection, Control Interface with buttons/LCD screen.

Applications: Industrial timers, actuators, internet enabled actuation and automation controls.

SOLAR POWERED WATER FILTRATION MONITORING SYSTEM

Status: Completed, March/April 2014.

Description: Design of a generic water filtration monitoring system. The designs used GE’s Home spring filters and the goal was to monitor water flow,

filter health, voltage / current outputs of the solar panel and generate down-time or maintenance related alarms. All the information was made available

to the client in a MySQL database.

Tech: MSP430 microcontroller, Rugged / all-weather enclosure design (IP-67), energy harvesting with solar PV charging for on-board battery, water

sensors, flow sensors, GSM/GPRS, Modbus, data-logging.

Applications: Energy harvesting, rugged all weather remote sensing solutions, GIS based Remote monitoring solutions.

OTHER ENERGY CONSULTING WORK: a) Feasibility & design of solar water pumping systems, Delaware, USA

b) Energy audit (electrical) & formulation of remedial strategies for saving energy consumption for various clients

c) Feasibility of deploying distribution transformer monitoring solution for a large scale organization in Pakistan.

e) Re-vamping & formulation of business strategy for Pakistan council of Renewable energy Technologies (PCRET) for the ministry of finance.
