What I learned…

• Networks would come and go without a strong vertical market focus, business plan and more importantly, SALES PLAN!– Not sure that has changed over the years… – Our business model was to focus on local ad sales and fund each installation.

• Logmein.com was a life saver for us. (or any remote log-in software)

• There wasn’t a lot of information on the digital signage industry at the time so it was really hard to gauge where you were at as a company.

• There wasn’t a lot of technology differentiation in digital signage player software at the time.

– REACH is a media and local ad sales company that manages a network of 1,000 digital signage partners across the US and over 2,500 screens. • REACH will generate about $6M in sales this year, which will be about a 20% increase over last year.• Our primary revenue source is local ad sales and one of our core competencies. • Additional revenue streams are from our SaaS business model and National ads. • This year we will sell and produce approximately 3,000 local ads. • REACH has been the exclusive local ad sales partner for Life Time Fitness’s digital signage network since 2009.

– REACH has 55 employees and headquartered in Minneapolis, MN• 40 are “Sales” related positions

– REACH has been in business since 2005 and awarded one of Inc. Magazine’s Fastest Growing Private Companies three years in a row: 2010 (#372) , 2011 (#1,464), 2012 (#2003) and one of Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal’s Fast 50 for 2010 (#10) and 2011 (#18). • REACH was also selected as one of the 100 Best Places to Work in Minnesota in 2012

and 2013 by Minnesota Business Magazine.
