Introduction
Requirements Quality Analyzer (DOORS Edition) relies on DOORS to
store and manage requirements. Thus, to run RQA it’s necessary to have
access to a DOORS Server installation and DOORS client already
installed in the final user computer.
RQA is a server/client application, so there are two different installers:
Requirements Quality Analyzer Server
Requirements Quality Analyzer Client
RQA Server relies on a database, so it’s supported by different Database
Management Systems (DMS). Due to this reason there’s are as many
Requirements Quality Analyzer Server installers as DMS are supported.
The currently supported DMS are:
Microsoft Access
Microsoft SQL Server

Deployment architecture
A typical DOORS deployment architecture consists on:
A server holding the DOORS DB to where Quality Assurance, Project Managers and Business Analysts access to manage their requirements.
Many DOORS clients in the Quality Assurance, Project Managers and Business Analysts workstations.
So Requirements Quality Analyzer will fit in this way:
One Requirements Quality Analyzer Server in a server also provided with a DOORS client installation (for computing time consuming quality tasks). Reachable from any DOORS client installation.
As many Requirements Quality Analyzer Clients as wished along with a DOORS client installation.
This deployment layout, can be modified taking into account the client necessities, for example, if there are only 1 RQA Client, it can be installed along the RQA Server in the same machine.

Server installation
Depending on the selected database management system selected for
holding the quality database, it will be necessary to restore a quality
database backup (Microsoft SQL Server case)
If this happens follow the following steps:
Restore the backup as usual.
Once the backup is restored, the next step is to create at least 2 users and
logins:

permissions in the new
database. This user will
be the one which the

Fill the fields in the following way:
Database path: choose the quality database, here take into account two
important issues:
The quality assessment is inherit to the language stored in the selected quality
database. Select the database with the language used to write your
requirements.
The quality database should be shared, so any other client wishing to connect
the database has access to it. We suggest moving it into a shared folder and
then fill the Database path with this new location.
In case that authentication is needed for the database, not the case for the
provided quality databases, fill the User, Password and Confirm password
credentials provided for the quality database
