• Recently shifted to Oracle software for requisitioning within the organization and to key the Purchasing Department for outside purchases.

Perceived Issues

• Software’s “Direct” user-interface• Proficiency of users• The system’s interface can be related to the

user’s proficiency level in that it is not what we, as web savvy personnel, are used to, however for the purpose is very efficient once in-grained

• Interactive tool to supplement and, when required, provide training

Tool Content• An introduction to the

training and the purpose of electronically placing requisitions to the purchasing department.

• Step by step directions on how to compose a requisition using a template set up in Oracle.

• Step by step direction on how to compose a requisition when an item is in the item master but not on a template in Oracle.

• Step by step directions on how to compose a requisition when an item is not in the item master or on a template in Oracle.

• Practice simulations on all the aforementioned ways to process a requisition.

• Post test to make sure that the trainee is able to make each type of requisition with less than 3 errors.

Deliverables• Interviews internal to Division and in

supported Departments • Notes on discussions• Computer-based Training Module to be used

for individuals or groups• Training Program including leader’s guide,

upfront materials, and presentation• Product Support for one year after

implementation

Timetable• Days 1-12: Interview with employees to find

training gaps and things they feel need to included in the training program, needs assessment if applicable.

• Days 13-15: Discussion of findings with clients, stakeholders and decision makers.

• Days 16-54: Development of Training Program• Day 55: Turn Training program over to client and

provide training on how to use and training others using the program.

• Day 60: Program completely turned over to client and year warranty starts to take effect.

Assumptions• Issues of confidentiality, client relationships, and discussion

regarding proprietary products, services, or relationships, in addition to documents created as part of this consulting relationship, are the property of the Client.

• Appropriate access to vendors, customers, contacts, and administrative system access will be provided by the Client as required to complete any assigned projects.

• The Client will provide an office space with Internet access, phone, fax, and copier as needed for project work.

• All parties Kristin Lloyd, Flynn McCutchen and The Regional Medical Center will make every effort to ensure timely answers to questions as related to the project engagement.
