Dr. Vishal Sikka

SAP Executive Board Member,

Leading Technology and Innovation, SAP AG

Dr. Vishal Sikka is a member of the Executive Board of

SAP AG and heads SAP’s technology and innovation areas.

His responsibilities include SAP’s technology platform and

products, including database, application platform and

middleware, collaboration, business analytics and search.

He is also responsible for SAP’s development of new products

and new business areas, including SAP’s research, incubation

and new products organizations. In addition, Vishal is the Chief

Technology Officer of SAP, a role he has held since 2007 when

he was appointed SAP's first ever CTO. Vishal is the author of

Timeless Software, which underpins SAP's architecture and

innovation strategy.

Vishal holds a doctorate from Stanford University in Computer Science, and his background includes work in

Artificial Intelligence, Automated Reasoning, Programming languages and Models, and data management and

search systems.

GUEST KEYNOTE

Mr. Anil Kumble

President, Karnataka State Cricket Association and

Former Captain – Indian Test Cricket Team

Anil Kumble is the czar of spin bowling and former Captain of the Indian Test Cricket

team. He is currently the leading wicket-taker for India in both Test and One Day

International matches, the third highest wicket-taker in Test Cricket in the world, and

one of only three bowlers to have taken more than 600 Test wickets.

Starting with a Test Series against England played at Manchester in August 1990,

Anil Kumble played 132 Test matches to grab 619 wickets. His pursuit of excellence

brought the world record figures of 10 for 72 in an innings against Pakistan in 1999.

As a batsman, his highest score in Test Cricket was 110 not out. Incidentally it was the

only century of the series against England in England. Anil played 271 ODI matches in

which he took 337 wickets – his best being six for 12 against West Indies, still an

Indian bowling record.

Anil also captained and took Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL team to new heights with his leadership skills. He is currently part of

the team think-tank as a Chief Mentor.

Anil Kumble is a multi-faceted personality playing roles ranging from being Chairman of State Wildlife Board, Chairman of National

Cricket Academy, to being the President of the Karnataka State Cricket Association. He is also founder of TENVIC – a unique

organization, aiming to transform sports in India. He is a sought after speaker at corporate and industry forums, where he brings to

fore, management lessons learnt from the cricket field. Anil is also on a crusade to encourage people in taking a JUMBO step

towards protection of wildlife and nature through the non-profit KUMBLE FOUNDATION, and the associated JUMBO FUND.

IMPORTANT: We reserve the right to release any unclaimed

seat at the scheduled start of a hands-on workshop, so plan

to arrive early. Arriving even one minute late may result in

forfeiture of your seat.

SESSION TYPES AND POLICIES

SAP® TechEd offers a variety of sessions and workshops.

Our one-hour and two-hour lecture sessions are open to

all attendees and are available on a first-come, first-served

basis only. Adding a lecture session to your personal agenda

does not guarantee you a seat.

Our two-hour and four-hour hands-on workshops include

hands-on learning and applicable exercises. Two students

share one laptop computer.

Hands-on workshop reservations: Advance sign-up and full

conference registration is required for reserved seating at

hands-on workshops. Fully paid full-conference registrants had

the opportunity to sign-up for a maximum of two hands-on

workshops through October 14, 2011. All remaining

unreserved seats are available to full-conference registrants

on a first-come, first-served basis on-site.

For the safety and well-being of conference delegates

and staff, a First Aid Station (+) is provided at the venue.

You can find this facility located adjacent to Gate A.

and found issues.

For the safety and protection of conference attendees

and staff, please maintain control of your personal items.

All items brought into the conference venue may be

subject to search. Any item left unattended is subject to

confiscation. Please report any unattended items to the

nearest SAP TechEd conference staff member or

uniformed security officer.

As per the notification from the Ministry of Health,

Government of India, smoking of cigarettes (or any other

form of tobacco) is completely prohibited in all public

places. The conference venue is an entirely nonsmoking

facility. Thank you for your cooperation.

A conference badge is required to access all SAP TechEd

conference activities, including sessions, the exhibit hall,

meals and evening events. Uniformed security officers and

conference staff will continually check badges. Please

ensure that your badge remains visible at all times. Do not

misplace your badge or lend your badge to anyone.

Replacement cost of a lost badge is equal to the cost of

your conference registration fee.

We hope you enjoy your conference backpack. If you would

prefer not to take yours home or just want to pass it along

to someone in need, please consider recycling it by

returning it to the Registration Check-In counters before

you leave. We will donate all unused and recycled

backpacks locally.

Suggested dress is business casual for both day and

evening events. We recommend that you wear comfortable

shoes and bring a sweater or light jacket with you to

KTPO’s Trade Center. Often, air conditioning is set high

to accommodate maximum room capacities.

For your convenience, complimentary luggage storage

is available in the Registration Check-In area. Please be

prepared to present both photo identification and your

conference badge. All items may be subject to search.

Shuttle Service

A buffet lunch and refreshments will be served on all

three days. Lunch and refreshments will be served outside

Gate B on Wednesday, and in the main hall on Thursday

and Friday.

Please do not carry any food or beverage items into any

of the conference rooms and exhibition area.

Help your fellow delegates gain the full benefit of the

conference. Please switch off or silence all mobile

Complimentary ground transportation is organized on all

three days after the conference hours. The shuttle will go

on a fixed route from the conference venue to the city

center (M.G. Road) via HAL Airport Road.
