Carbon dioxide emissionsSCA will reduce its emissions from fossil fuels and from purchased electricity and heating by 20% by the year 2020, with 2005 as a reference year.
Responsible use of wood raw materialNo fresh fibre-based material comes from controversial sources*. Target also includes pulp and containerboard.
Improved water usageSCA will reduce its water consumption in water stressed regions with 10% by 2015, with 2010 as a reference year. All pulp and paper mills will employ mechanical and biological water treatment plants by 2015.
Code of Conduct complianceSCA’s Code of Conduct applies to all employees at all locations worldwide.
*Illegally logged timber, Timber from forests with high conservation value and/or timber fromareas where human rights or traditional rights of indigenous people are being violated.
