Infogain Java Intern (3 Months Internship) Worked on Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Middleware team to provide enterprise business solutions using technologies like JAVA SE, Java EE (Servlets, JSP, EJB), Struts and Hibernate. (July- Aug 10) PROJECTS Young Engineer Visitation Program 2011 (June 2011) I was selected for a fully sponsored Young Engineers Visitation Program at the Lockheed Martin Centre for Innovation, Suffolk under the Joint Lockheed Martin Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) Academic Program. It brought immense honor to be a part of those 30 students selected all across the country to represent at such a prestigious international platform. At Lockheed Martin Centre of Innovation, I participated in Second Life™ Software Challenge to create a Factory design implementing Engineering and Manufacturing Feedback to facilitate collaboration before prototyping. I created a profit optimization tool capable of simulating the factory design to determine optimal factory size depending on required throughput that was certified as the best “innovative environment design” by Lockheed Martin. http://www.indousstf.org/details.aspx?mostprvmytitle=PastPrograms&prevmytitle=Special%20Initiatives&id=865&name=Indo-US%20Young%20Engineers%20Visitation%20Program Winner DRDO Driving Innovation: Student Robot Competition (Feb-Oct 10) DRDO Govt. of India conducted nationwide Military Racing Challenge with problem statement of “Autonomous Ground Vehicle for Low Intensity Conflict”. I proposed an Autonomous Ground Vehicle (AGV) prototype and working model. I cleared the Stage-I (Design Approach) and got Rs 1 lakh from DRDO to carry on the project. DRDO Chennai (CVRDE): I won Stage 2 (Practical Demonstration) and got first prize of Rs 3.5 lakh, beating 300 teams from different universities of India. http://www.drdo.gov.in/drdo/English/index.jsp?pg=result.jsp HP Innovate 2009 (Top 5 Student Innovations of Year 2009) HP Labs India selected my work titled “Advertisement firewall for digital videos based on temporal segmentation” as top 5 student innovations of the year 2009. I designed software that can separate advertisements from TV and streaming videos. HP Project Code: HPI09179 http://ashishtanwer.com/projects/hpi2009 Winner DRDO Golden Jubilee Celebration: Student Competition (Sep 08-Jun 09) DRDO Govt. of India conducted nationwide Student Competition to develop “Deployable Low Cost Outdoor Surveillance System with Remote Access to Sensor Imagery”. I designed an Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) prototype for the contest. I cleared Stage I (Design Approach) and I got Rs 2 lakh from Thapar University to carry on the project. DRDO Bangalore (ADE): I won Stage 2 (Practical Demonstration) and got First Prize of Rs 3.5 lakh from DRDO beating above 250 teams from different universities of India. www.thapar.edu/images/news/drdo.pdf PATENTS • Deployable Low Cost Outdoor Surveillance System with Remote Access to Sensor Imagery India Patent Application 2442/Del/2009, Filed December 2009 • Aerial Vehicle Based Sensing Framework for Structural Health Monitoring India Patent Application 2111/Del/2010, Filed December 2010 • Autonomous Ground Vehicle for Low Intensity Conflict India Patent E-12/202/2011-Del, India Patent Application 3308/Del/2011, Issued November 2011 TECHNICAL EXPERTISE • Languages: Scheme, C, C++, C#, Python, PHP, SQL Java EE, Enterprise Java Beans, and Matlab. • Platforms: Windows Mobile, Android, POSIX, UNIX.
