Again…Will  Richardson

The  most  sweeping  change  in  our  relationship  with  the  Internet  may  not  be  as  much  with  the  ability  to  publish  as  it  is  the  ability  to  share  and  connect  and  create  with  many,  many  others  of  like  minds  and  interests.

BASICS OF GOOGLE DOCS• Problem: Sharing docs via email is inefficient and confusing.

• GD uses The Cloud.

• You can have full control over the doc.

• Sign in with your Google account.

• You can upload docs and make them GDs.

• Share with collaborators.

• Can also create Spreadsheets, Drawings, PowerPoints (Presentations), Forms

WHY IS IT USEFUL FOR EDUCATORS?

• Administrators can “get the word out”on school events and present the school’s vision.

• Teachers can involve students and provide a very solid project tool that can be shared with the school and outside community.

• It can become, essentially, your radio station.

• REMEMBER: Start simple!

• And...how do you find good vetted educational web sites instead of searching through thousands on Google?
