Why are we changing the UI?

Create an experience that is aligned with CI/CD workflow

As more users are adopting agile development process we wanted to create an experience that would fit well with their workflows.

Improve Usability

Customers were having issues getting started with the old UI and we wanted provides a more intuitive experience and make our users more efficient.

Create a new visual foundation

Provide a modern and visually pleasing user experience as a foundation for existing and future development.

Overview

New CI-Centric UI

• Tests are automatically placed into appropriate categories – Automated Builds, Automated Tests or Manual Tests.

• Tests with the same build id are automatically rolled into separate 48-hour Build Objects.

New Archives Page

• Users can now locate tests or groups of tests by using custom queries or provided filters.

Performance and UX improvements

• Along with the refreshed UI we’ve streamlined the navigation and included many performance and user experience fixes.

Dashboard (New)Provides a centralized view of organization’s recent activity

Archives (New)Shows test history and allows for advanced job searching

Build Details (New)Displays detailed summary of individual Builds

User Details Displays a high level usage summary of user’s activity on Sauce.

Test DetailsDisplays a completed view of details about an individual test.

Tunnels PageDisplays current tunnels and allows for easier tunnel management.
