Day of love and friendship In Colombia, the day of love and

friendship, is held the third Saturday of September is being celebrated this year on 18 September. However, in most countries this day is known as the Day of love and friendship but as Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day and is celebrated on February 14. We keep calling it Day of Love and Friendship, but we will tell them why it's called Valentine's Day:Imagine that during the Roman Empire, the Emperor Claudius II banned marriages because soldiers love supposedly did not give the desired performance.

Obviously, a law can not prohibit or love or friendship and falling in love and people kept coming to San Valentin to marry them secretly. San Valentin could do this for a while but the emperor found out and had him arrested and ordered his death sentence. Valentine was beheaded on February 14.Since 1969, celebrates Valentine's Day or Day of Love and Friendship (in Colombia).
