• Alaska• Northern Canada• Edges of Greenland• Northern Scandinavia• Northern Siberia/Russia
LOCATIONS
• Cold and harsh with low precipitation
• Temperature Range– 47F to -126F
• Precipitation– 6 to 10 inches of water
(with snow melt)
CLIMATE
• Artic Moss• Caribou Moss• Diamond Leaf Willow• Labrador Tea• Bearberry– Stays low to ground and
hairs keep it warm
PLANT LIFE
• Snowy Owl• Polar Bear• Caribou• Rock Ptarmigan • Arctic fox– Short body, thick
coat not as much skin exposed to the cold
