Animals: Polar bear, caribou, arctic fox, arctic hare, snowy owl, musk ox, and the rock ptarmigan.

Plants: Arctic moss, arctic willow, bearberry, caribou moss, diamond-leaf willow, Labrador tea, pasque flower, and the tufted saxifrage.

Aquatic Life: Arctic jellyfish, king crab, seals, and narwhal and beluga whales.

Organisms!!!

Little precipitation just like the desert. 30 centimeters of rainfall a year.

Extreme temperatures. Cold all year.

Short summers and long, dark winters.

CLIMATE!!!

It covers 20% of the Earth and is made of ice.

It has a permafrost which is permanently frozen ice, makes it difficult for plants to grow.

It has a couple of hills and mountains, but in some spots it stays relatively flat.

Located in the north of the world.

Canada, Russia and Scandinavia are countries in which tundra's are located.

It is found around 80° North and 180° West and East.

Husky sledding. 4 or more dogs pulling a sled.

Big feasts that contain reindeer meat .

Snowmobiling.

Fishing.

Many organisms and people live in the tundra.

Many organisms rely on the tundra for food and shelter, so with the decreasing ice, many organisms are in danger.

Many mythological and historical events have appeared throughout the icy tundra’s history.
