DESCRIPTION

Project 2003: Support Ends April 8, 2014 With Microsoft support for Project 2003 ending on April 8, 2014, now is a great time to upgrade to the new Visio together with the new Office. You’ll get complete support, including key security updates to help keep you compliant, non-security hot fixes, assisted-support options, and technical content updates. Why is Microsoft ending its support? As a part of Microsoft’s Support Lifecycle Policy, Project 2003 products receive 5 years of Mainstream Support and 5 years of Extended Support at the supported service pack level. April 8, 2014, marks the end of this 10-year support period. Why should I upgrade to the new Project ? To get critical security updates to help keep you in compliance with security standards. The new Project support includes non-security hot fixes, free and paid assisted-support options, and technical content updates. Access the latest Project features, helping you and your employees to be more productive. What will happen if I don’t upgrade? Running Project 2003 after the end-of-support date may expose your company to security risks and technology limitations, including: Security Risk: No new security updates can leave unsupported and unpatched environments vulnerable to security risks. Compliance Risk: End of support may result in an officially recognized control failure by an internal or external audit body. Non-compliance can lead to a suspension of certifications and/or public notification of the organization’s inability to maintain its systems and customer information. Lack of Ongoing Updates: There will be no more non-security hot fixes, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates—limitations which could negatively impact your productivity and growth. What do I need to do? It’s simple: upgrade to the new Project right away, before the end of support for Project 2003; upgrade together with the new Office for consistent user experience across the applications.
