Vanadium

• Vanadium has high resistance to corrosion

– Commonly used to form steel alloys or ferrovanadium

– 80% of Vanadium is used as steel additive (prevent rust / strengthen the steel)

– Vanadium is added to high speed tools and cutting objects.

– Added to engine parts such as the axles, crankshafts and gears in cars
