The origin of idea:

•GOLEA is a local energy agency, covering the entire Primorska region (23 municipalities).

•As an energy agency, we are a promoter, often even an initiator of RES and RUE practices in this space and we have access to all the relevant data regarding this topic.

•As these are generic processes of creation and implementation of events and activities in the area of sustainable energy, it is imperative that we begin to

track and record them which can best be attained within a villab innovative environment.

The idea of VILAGO

• Creating an innovative environment in the form of a virtual lab with mission to retrofit public buildings and measure the implementation of renewable energy sources and rational use of energy.

• Create new business opportunities for the private sector, leading to improvements in employment levels, quality of work in public buildings, as well as savings in the public sector with consequently lower costs to taxpayers.
