The Trust is buying an ‘off the shelf package’ (BBCRM) as the basis of the new volunteer system. This will become the YourVolunteering portal for volunteer

managers

BBCRM is very configurable and users only see what they use / have access to

Users will also be able to configure their own view so that the things they use most are accessible from their Home page

Access to volunteers data is controlled by access rights. Users can only see the personal data of volunteers that they have permission to see

More advanced users will access to a lot more functionality. In the short term our aim is to keep it very simple for property users, allowing more access over time

We will be able to report against all fields in the system so there will be access to valuable Management Information

Communication (including the management of preferences) can be done via the system



Volunteers can only be booked against roles they already have. For example a Gardener could not be booked onto a Room Guide shift
