Dpupdchk.exe is an automatic update checking application created by the Microsoft Corporation. It is commonly seen running as a background process on Windows computers.
Not a lot of published information from Microsoft regarding the process. It is thought to be used primarily to check for automatic updates for mouse drivers.

If you do not want to remove Microsoft IntelliPoint from your computer, you can turn off the “Auto Update” feature located under Microsoft Mouse and Quality Settings.
