What is new in Pydio (formerly AjaXplorer) 5.2.0 ?

Pydio 5.2.0 is a stable release including tons of bugfixes collected during the 5.1.X development cycle, plus cool new features. These are described below.

New user dashboard !Users are now presented with a workspace selector, making the concept much more productive.

Additionally, this specific space will gather all personal data and parameters, and a global notification feed.

NEXT: a quicksend action to drop/share/notify a file at once.

Selection Carts !One can easily drag files or folders into a drop area during navigation, and later download or share this selection at once.

Searches can also be saved and rerun later, and the search results can be downloaded as an archive at once.

Multiple links per file !Being public, web links are hard to track by definition. You can now create many links for each file, associate tags to them and have a better tracking of who downloaded what.

Faceted search !Leveraging the power of our embedded Lucene indexer, user can search on a given date range, by extension or by side, and if metadata is defined for the workspace (and configured to be indexed), by metadata.

These searches are savable to be rerun later.

Tabbed navigation !Instead of opening editors always in a modal dialog, they open in a Tab, allowing to work simultaneously on different documents.
