Maytal’s View of Identity

When I hear the word identity, I automatically think of an individual. This is person with her own personality, feelings, hopes, dreams and thoughts. Each individual has their own identity, which is precious and should not be lost at any cost. I feel that identity theft is an awful thing, and there should be better methods of prevention to protect us from losing the most important part of ourselves, besides our life itself.

Jessica’s View of Identity

I believe identity to be a very important part of a human being. In my opinion, I believe your identity consists of your beliefs, opinions, and your personality. If each person in this world took the time to do some soul searching, there would be many people walking this earth with a new sense of self, steadfast in their beliefs. As a result of these more aware people, they will have better morals and be happier with the people that they are. They will have a larger capacity to love. This will help make peace between all people. Thus, in exploring identity and becoming better people we can heal the world we live in.

I view identity as someone’s heritage, appearance, beliefs, and their opinion of themselves. Identity is not just an aspect of a person, but is a person. If someone has a strong sense of who they are it enhances their identity and who they are.

A person’s identity is specific to that one person and no one else. It characterizes a person and makes them different from everyone else. You shouldn’t let anyone influence you and change who you are.
