Microsoft to end all automatic support and updates for XP, without security updates, Windows XP will become increasingly vulnerable to attacks

Have your applications been compatibility tested? Has a clear migration path and strategy been defined? Do you have a budget for migration?

Good time to reconsider your desktop strategy. Look at VDI, RDS, application virtualisation and SaaS in order to ease application incompatibilities and OS migration issues

Security updates for Microsoft AND non-Microsoft applications will cease. It may be possible to reverse engineer updates for supported OSs – leaving you vulnerable.

Application publishers will drop support for Windows XP in future releases.

Modern hardware will not support Windows XP. Locating drivers will become difficult and new features will not be supported.
