Preserve Original Date

• There is now an option in the Common System Settings to allow users to preserve the original date when completing activities. This setting would apply to all users.

• Configuration > Common > Activities• This applies to both Phone and Desktop editions.

Change Activity Type on Completion

• wMobile now allows users to change the activity type when completing activities.

• This applies to both Phone and Desktop editions.

Email Options in GoldMine Inbox

• Email options in the GoldMine Inbox have been simplified.

• Instead of ‘File to History and Delete’ we now have ‘Fast File’ which will file the email to the contact’s history and remove it from the GoldMine Inbox.

• We have maintained ‘File with Options’ if the user wishes to add an activity code, link the email to opportunity/project/case, or file in a specific folder.

• This applies to both Phone and Desktop editions.

Export Access Logs

• There is now an option in the wMobile Manager Console to export the access logs for Phone and/or Desktop edition.

• Access logs must be enabled in the Manager console. They contain information such as when a user logs in, what area of the application is accessed, what browser is used, time to return a page server side and client side (in milliseconds), and how many users were logged in at the time.

Changes in wMobile Manager Console

• Changes to System Settings and logging levels no longer requires a restart of the app pool or wMobile applications. This allows us to make configuration changes without users losing access to wMobile.

• Clearing cache does not require a restart of wMobile components either.

Email Fixes

• GoldMine email has 2 associated records for incoming email in the Cal and Mailbox tables. The Cal record was not removed when deleting email from GM Inbox using wMobile email client.

• Cc’d recipient received email twice when it was sent from wMobile.

Fix for Date Completion

• It was discovered in wMobile build 3.1.3.887, that the Activity date was switching to the previous day when completing activities. This happened in certain circumstances when the client and server used different Time Zones.

• This is fixed in wMobile build 3.1.3.977.

Change Database

• The Change Database feature in the wMobile Manager Console was missing a couple of newer wMobile SQL tables. It now includes all the necessary wMobile SQL tables.

Refresh in Manager Console Fixed

• Rights in System Settings were getting altered when using "Refresh" from wMobile Manager Console. This was fixed in the 3.1.3.977 release.

• Added support for field order in wMobilePhone layouts based on GoldMine field order position

• Extra characters added in notes on activity completion in some circumstances using wMobilePhone

• wMobile Phone now uses the GoldMine Field/Tab order to determine the order of the fields to be displayed in the wMobile Phone contact layout.

Fix when using Copy Contact Details

• It was reported that extra characters were added in activity notes when completing an activity that used ‘Copy Contact Details.’ This has now been resolved.

Filter Options Will Stick During a Session

• Filter selections are now ‘sticky’ in wMobile Desktop Opportunity/Project list pages. That means that any filter criteria will be preserved during a wMobile Desktop session. You can navigate away and back without having to reselect the filter criteria.

• The page size that controls how many items you can see on Opportunity and Project tabs is now ‘sticky.’

Email Configuration

• Be sure to configure the information on both the Basic and Advanced tab.

• The folders tab is used with IMAP accounts only, and is used to designate folders for auto-filing.

• Use Show in Main Menu to add a link to be able to check for new emails in this account easily from the wMobile Phone main menu.

Email Settings

• If you have more than one email account configured, one will be designated at Default.

• In addition to adding the email account to the main menu, you can also add links for the GoldMine Inbox and/or Email Center to the home menu.

• There is a relatively recent setting addition to be able to complete the original message on Reply.

• With these settings, I’ll have a link on the home menu for each configured email account, the GoldMine Inbox, and the Email Center.

• Each link will be demonstrated.

Office365 Inbox

• Click on the email account to view new emails sent to this account.

• The most recent will be displayed first.

Office365 Inbox

• By default wMobile checks the ISP or server mailbox every 30 minutes. Use Check Mail to force a refresh.

• Unread emails are displayed in green, while previously read emails will be in blue.

• Linked accounts will be displayed with the Linked notations.

• Email attachments are also indicated.

• Tap on an email to open it.

Email Options

• Options are listed at the bottom of the email.

• Use the navigation arrow to avoid scrolling through long emails.

• You have standard options such as reply, forward, delete, mark unread.

• The most common option is to File to History and Delete, meaning that the email will be filed to GoldMine History and deleted from the server or ISP mailbox.

• File with Options will allow you file the email with activity codes, link it to an Opp/Project Case, or file to a specific folder.

Process multiple emails

• It is possible to select multiple emails and process at once.

• A new email can be started from the Online Inbox.

Email Templates

• The use of email templates is supported in wMobile Phone and Desktop.

• Select the recipient, then click on the >> button which will toggle to the list of templates for selection.

• After template selection, select Apply Template.

Save Draft

• If an email draft is saved using wMobile, it will be located in the Online Inbox | Local Drafts folder.

GoldMine Inbox

• The GoldMine Inbox will show emails previously downloaded into GoldMine (using either wMobile or GoldMine).

Email Options

• The email options are slightly different for emails already in the GoldMine Inbox.

• Fast File is the same as GoldMine.

• File with Options allows you to file to a specific folder, add codes, or link the email to Opportunity/Project/Case.

Email folder selectionIn the GoldMine Inbox, you can access Filed, Sent, or other user created folders. Click on the arrow for the Folder selection as shown at the right. A list of folders will be displayed. If you’ve been using GoldMine a long time, this might a long list. Click Go to confirm selection and navigate to that folder.

Email Center

• The Email Center link will bring the user to another page where the online Inbox or GoldMine Inbox can be selected for any configured accounts.

• In general, I prefer direct links to these from the home menu, but this is a configurable option.

Admin notes

• If Admins want to set some of these setting globally, this would be done in the wMobile Manager Console on the server in Default User Options.
