2. A member who is in a wheelchair needs access tohis/her organizations host site. The memberneedsReasonable accommodation in the form of anaccessible path to the service entrance located at theback of the building.An accessible pathway, a permanent ramp that willallow access to a doorway that is larger than theirwheelchair and a door that is operable by a personwith low mobility.A portable ramp that is positioned over the stairs atthe front of the building while they are assigned toservice at that organization for their service year. 3. Please TryAgainThis is not areasonableaccommodation.Requiring a personwith a disability to usea service entrance isoffensive and aviolation of their rights.An accessible entrancefor all people isrequired by the ADA. 4. Come onyou can do it!Portable ramps should only be used in emergencysituations. The ADA requires that anorganization has a fullyaccessible entrance for allpeople to use includingthose with disabilities. 5. Great Job!Nice Work! The Americans with Disabilities Act requires that organizations have accessible entrances. These include those thathave 1:12 ramps and at least 36 inch doorways. The doors must alsobe able to be used independently by anyone who would like to enter the facility.
