Succeeding India’s very own Palace on Wheels in the list of Indian luxury trains, Deccan Odyssey offers a
mesmerizing voyage across the Konkan coast and Deccan plateau of India. Beginning from Chattrapati
Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai, the 8 days and 7 nights journey takes the guests on a whirlwind tour to
Maharashtra along with a halt at sun and sand paradise, Goa. The weeklong journey on board Deccan
Odyssey brings to fore resplendent forts, magnificent palaces, colonial churches, ancient temples, World
Heritage Sites and pristine beaches.
Day Wise Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Mumbai (Wednesday)

Assemble at Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus for Departure
Overnight stay and dinner aboard the train
Day 2: Sindhugarh- Tarakali Beach (Thursday)

Early morning arrival at Kudal Railway Station
Disembark the train and board the A/C coach to reach Malvan jetty
Boat transfer to Sindhugarh Fort
Post sightseeing in Sindhugarh Fort, depart for Tarakali beach resort
Have lunch there and spend rest of the time in leisure
Later depart for Dhampur village via A/C coach. En route visit Cashew factory
Explore the temples of Goddess Bhagwati and Satara Devi and Dhampur Lake
Later depart for Kudal Railway Station to board Deccan Odyssey
Dinner and overnight stay on board Deccan Odyssey
Day 3: Goa (Friday)

Early morning arrival at Karmali Railway Station
Disembark the train and board the A/C coach for sightseeing excursion in Old Goa. Explore the
churches and cathedrals sprinkled across this old town
Post sightseeing in Old Goa, return to Deccan Odyssey for lunch
Set out of the train in the evening for dinner and cultural extravaganza at beachside hotel
Post dinner, return on board Deccan Odyssey and travel down to Vasco Railway Station.
Overnight halt at Vasco Railway Station
Day 4: Goa- Vasco (Saturday)

Post breakfast, board the A/C coach and explore the attractions of Vasco such as Mangeshi
temple and Safa Masjid
Later proceed on a guided tour of Sahakari Spice Farm at Ponda village followed by a traditional
Goan style lunch
Feast upon the Portuguese architectural heritage with a visit to Menezes Braganza House at
Chandor village
Return to Deccan Odyssey train and depart for Kolhapur
Dinner will be served aboard Deccan Odyssey
Day 5: Kolhapur (Sunday)

Early morning arrival at Kolhapur Railway Station
Post breakfast, set out on sightseeing trip across the city. Visit New Palace, Shalini Palace,
Mahalakshmi Temple, Bhawani Mandap and handicraft stall
Return to the train for lunch and travel down to Daulatabad
Day 6: Aurangabad (Monday)

Open your eyes to the rising sun on the 6th day of Deccan Odyssey train tour
Post breakfast, explore the ruins of Daulatabad fort and Ellora Caves
Hit the road to Aurangabad to feast upon Maharastrian culinary delights
Post lunch, explore the city attractions such as Bibi ka Maqbara and local markets for souvenir
and handicraft items
Dinner will be served aboard the royal Indian train
Day 7: Ajanta Caves and Nashik (Tuesday)

Arrive at Jalgaon Railway Station early in the morning
Disembark the train and hit the road to the spectacular Ajanta Caves via A/C bus
Post Ajanta Cave exploration, return to the train for lunch and travel down to Nashik
Visit Panchwati Ghat and Kala Ram Temple in Nashik
By evening, return to the train to gorge upon the farewell dinner
Day 8: Mumbai (Return)
Today, Deccan Odyssey will land you back at Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai
Post breakfast, bid farewell to the majestic blue limousine ‘Deccan Odyssey’ and proceed on your
onwards journey
