General Information• Capital: Kuala Lumpur
• Geography: The kingdom of Thailand lies in the heart of Southeast Asia,
making it a natural gateway to Indochina, Myanmar and Southern China.
• Population: 62 million out of which 7 million people reside in the capital city
of Bangkok.
• People: Thai (80%), Chinese (10%), Malay (3%), and the rest are minorities.
• Language: Thai is widely spoken and written. English is understood by few,
particularly in Bangkok. Thai-English road and street signs are found
nationwide.
• Religion: Buddhism (95%), Muslim (4%), others (1%)
• Shopping : Batik fabrics, elegant footwear, exclusive watches, optical items,
handicrafts, the latest brands, Electrical appliances like computers, cameras
and much, much more.

Malaysia visa on arrivalMalaysia visa can now be obtained upon arrival. You need to carry the
following :• Passport has to be valid for minimum 6 months• Return valid confirm ticket.• Visa fee RM 100/- per person• 2 Passport size photographs • Visa is given for touristic purpose only.• Maximum stay on this visa is 30 days.• These visa can be obtained at Kuala Lumpur International airport,
Penang International Airport, Johar Border, and in Kota Kinabalu, • Passengers in possession of valid visa for next country as well as
onward flight ticket out of Malaysia can avail of a 120 hr transit visa which is FOC
• Passengers should have sufficient funds which should be good enough for their stay in Malaysia. Recommended is a minimum of USD 250 for 4 nights or a International credit card is good enough.

Indian Meal in Malaysia
In Kuala Lumpur
• The Tandoor at KL Tower, Gems, Srirekha (Regular Indian restaurant used)
• The Aryan, Spice Garden, Sagar, Chutneys, Bombay Palace (Upmarket Indian
restaurant serving authentic Indian cuisine).
In Genting Highlands
• Kampong (It’s a buffet with local cuisine, Indian food though not authentic is served)
• Spice Garden (An up market Indian restaurant, authentic Indian cuisine served)
• Indian meal is commonly found in Kuala Lumpur, Genting Highlands, Penang and
Langkawi. In all other points its difficult to get Indian meal.
Since restaurants are not close to the hotel. Private transfers needs to be organized

The journey from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya takes approx. 50 mins. First you visit Taman Warisan or Agricultural Heritage Park - a ' living' museum for mango, rubber, cocoa, palm oil, durian, jackfruit, herds and etc.A demonstration on the entire rubber - manufacturing process from the time it is tapped and churned out as fully smoked sheets will be shown during the tour.Next, proceed to Putra Jaya Government Centre , there are numerous new government complexes located in this new township . Peter's Church (1710) .
Drive past the largest 17 century Chinese cemetary

ruins of St. Paul's Church lined by 17th century Dutch
tombstones .
Next on the list is ' Red Square ' - the salmon pink
Dutch administrative buildings which today house the
Malacca Museum and government offices.

by the banks of the Malacca river.

Langkawi
• Geography : Langkawi, a cluster of 99 islands separated from mainland
Malaysia by the Straits of Malacca, is a district of the state of Kedah in
Northern Malaysia and lies approximately 5I km. west of Kedah.
• Climate : A sunny, hot and humid, tropical climate with an average
annual temperature of about 25 degrees Celsius. The rainy season is
during August/ September, although there are occasional showers
throughout the year.
• Population : Only four of the 99 islands are inhabited. Pulau Langkawi
(the main island), Pulau Tuba and Pulau Dayang Bunting - and the
population is an estimated 64,792 of which 90.4% are Malays.
• Language : The official language is Bahasa Malaysia, although English
is widely used.
• How to get there : By Ferry from Penang island.OR By Air.

Penang• Location : Penang, measuring a total of 285 square kilometers, is
situated on the north-western coast of the Malay Peninsula at the entrance to the Straits of Malacca.
• Climate : Penang's climate can be described as equatorial, a pleasant mix of warm, sunny days and occasional cooling rain storms, with August through November being the wettest months generally.
• Population : Penang has 1.2 million people, more than half of whom live on the island.
• Language : Malay is the national language, English is also widely used.
• Religion :The official state religion is Islam, but freedom of worship is observed. Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, Taoism and other religions are freely practiced
• How to get there : By Air or By Road from Kuala Lumpur. You can connect by ferry to Langkawi.

Penang• Round Island Tour: Includes visits to batik factories and fishing villages
along Batu Ferringhi and Teluk Bahang. It also covers Balik Pulau, the

• Taman Negara is Malaysia's largest National Park.
• It's the oldest tropical rainforest in the world.
• You can pay it a visit, but you have to buy a permit.
• The National Park is 4,300 sq. in size where you may come across some wild life.

TRIP TO TAMAN NEGARA (SEAT IN COACH)
• When you book a trip to the National Park "Taman Negara", the bus will leave at 9 o'clock in the morning from the Crown Plaza Mutiara Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
• Tour bus ticket is included, but not your boat ticket and the permits you need.
• Tip: Stay the first night in the Mutiara Hotel*****. It's situated in the Golden Triangle of the city. You don't have to get up early and you can spend your day sight-seeing or shopping.
• The bus leaves at 8 o'clock and does not wait for you! The journey takes four hours, When you arrive in Kuala Tembeling, there are two counters.
• one for the "permits" for Taman Negara and to pay for your camera and fishing permit. one for your confirmation of the boat.
• This is the way to do it quickly:
• Go to counter 1 (permits Taman Negara/camera/fishing)
• 2. then go to counter 2 (confirmation for the boat)
• Go back to counter 1 to receive and to pay for your permits
• The boat will leave at 2 o'clock for the National Park. The boat trip takes 3 till 4 hours. You'll arrive around 16.30 in Taman Negara.

ON ARRIVAL AT TAMAN NEGARA
• After a panoramic boattrip on the Tembeling river you'll arrive in Taman Negara (16.30) as you check in to your Chalet.
• At night time there's a walk through the rainforest. You can hear all the sounds and see the fireflies and the fluorescent lichen. Don't be afraid to meet tigers, leopards, elephants.
• The next day there's a "canopy walkway". Its a walk across a 400 meter man-made bridge, suspended 25 to 40 meters above the ground. It's the longest canopy walk of its kind. The canopy walk gives you the opportunity to view the rich and divers flora and fauna at the very summit of the forest. You will see: birds, monkeys and squirrels. The experience is marvelous.
• In the afternoon there's a boat trip on the Tahan-river. Don't forget to take your swimming suit. In the front of the boat sits a boy with a stick, who tries to avoid big stones and tree trunks, which are laying under the water. The more you go in the rainforest, the more the river gets shallow.

• Then, suddenly, you can't go any further. It's too shallow.
• You have to get out and walk for a 500 meters and then you see a
refreshing waterfalls. It's now time for a swim.
• You can sit between two rocks and you have a natural Jacuzzi. Lovely
to let yourself float in the river. Don't be afraid for crocodile. They don't
live in West Malaysia. Crocodiles love only still water.
• Traveling back to Kuala Lumpur takes the whole day.
• You'll leave Taman Negara at 9 o'clock and the boat goes fast. You go
downstream and that goes faster than upstream. After 2½ hours you're
back in Kuala Tembeling.
• Soon the bus will come from Kuala Lumpur. The bus will leave at
12.30, so you'll back at 16.30 at the Mutiara Hotel.

• Tioman Island is located off the shores of Johor state in Malaysia.
• It's the largest in a group of 64 volcanic islands.

• Getting their : Berjaya Air operates flights daily from Subang Airport to Tioman and back, (48-seater) aircraft.
• Flight lasts about 55 minutes.
