Spain Tour 2016
Dear Parents and Players,
The purpose of our tour is to offer our young people an opportunity to experience a sports
and cultural trip for the participant, to learn new skills and experience life in a different
country. To experience aspects of life similar to that of a professional footballer. These as-
pects include being part of a travelling team, punctuality, behaviour, training, diet and re-
covery. Life is made up of impressions, events that shape our core beliefs attitudes and
motivation. There is no better way to leave a long term positive impression on young peo-
ple than guided travel.
From our past experiences we can assure all those interested in attending that the benefits
for each and every player is invaluable. We have been privileged in our past tour to get the
opportunity to watch Barcelona at training and meeting some of the worlds best players in
the process including Lionel Messi. There are no guarantees that this will happen again but
we have learned that you never say never, that anything is possible.
Our intent is for players to experience coaching from the Spanish methodology, a nation
which is currently considered as a world leader in youth development. The players will
come home with new training ideas and a new found respect for hard work and commit-
ment. Right now Spain possesses many of the worlds top footballers therefore we find
Spain an ideal destination due to that they are insane for football plus Spain’s warm cli-
mate and culture are a positive influence in terms of its historical value. The many archi-
tecturally vibrant buildings museums and a easy going culture makes it a positive and safe
country to visit.
We aim to leave those travelling with a life time of memories and for the players the added
motivation to work hard if they wish to achieve their dreams.
#Note: We will try to keep the overall cost to a minimum, this year I have created an itiner-
ary that includes a larger number of clubs than usual. For this reason I have left out the
sightseeing aspect as free time will be at a minimum for players. Parents do not need to
attend the training sessions if they wish to spend time sightseeing the players will be well
looked after although parents are welcome to attend all football related activities.

Overview
Sports and Tours brings you a cultural and educational football tour to Spain in 2016.
In recent years the Spanish game has dominated the international stage both at senior and
youth levels. It is a culmination of 20 years of ground work established by the clubs and the
Spanish football federation. A large part of it’s success is based on the number of highly
qualified coaches and their football philosophy.
One club in particular has highlighted the
success of developing players. Barcelona
has a model that has become the focal
point worldwide. The now famous “La Masia”
has been responsible for many of the worlds current crop of world class footballers. Barce-
lona’s model is unique. We will get to visit the magnificent Camp Nou and the history of the
club in a highly informative interactive experience at the Barcelona Museum. The museum
tour gives you access to change rooms media centres and a walk up the players tunnel.
We will also have the opportunity to be coached
by Barcelona coaches and play friendly games
against local opposition of a similar level.
The city of Barcelona is in itself a fantastic desti
nation to learn about the culture of the Catalan
society with their unique architecture inspired by
Guadi. We will also have an opportunity to be
trained by coaches from Espanyol, Barcelona’s
rival la Liga team.
This year we will spend several days at the resort town of Reus. Here we will stay at the
magnificent resort of Cambrils Park whilst attending several master classes with profession-
al coaches run by the Academia Internacional Technifutbol We will train at the nearby 5 star
training centre Complex esportiu Futbol Salou, Our hosts will conduct 4 days of football
masterclass in the methodology of Catalan and Spanish football. As an added bonus we
will t fit in a visit to at least three more clubs situated in a hot bed of football development
Valencia.

All in all this tour promises to be an incredible journey of discovery, not only on a football
level but also learning about a new culture, experiencing different culinary delights. For the
parents and siblings accompanying. You will have many opportunities to relax and enjoy
Spain while we look after the team. Presenting an ideal holiday for families.
Should you be interested in attending please fill out the expression of interest form at-
tached, one for each person travelling and return to us as soon as possible. It is important
to ensure that we have the minimum required persons travelling so the quicker we receive
expression of interest forms the quicker we can book our seats as flights are difficult to ob-
tain during these peak times.

will visit three of the best teams in La
Liga. Villarreal, Valencia & Levante.

extensive training with these clubs
who have developed many of Spain's
finest Footballers. Training will be
conducted at their Sporting Cities and
