• Fly Via Puerto PrincesaThe local airlines in the

Philippines (Cebu Pacific, PAL Express, Zest Air, and Seair) fly from Manila to Puerto Princesa.

Upon arriving in Puerto Princesa, you have to travel by land. There are buses and vans that take passengers to El Nido. The travel time is 5-7 hours so it gives you more time to sleep and gain energy.

There are two other ways to go to El Nido – via direct flights and via Coron. Direct flights are way too expensive while going to El Nido via Coron is also costly because you have to fly to Coron first then pay a couple of thousand pesos to boat to El Nido.

Staying in El Nido

• Stay in an affordable room

There are many cheap Palawan hotels to choose from where you can stay comfortably such as El Nido Waterfront Hotel, Garnet Hotel and Northern Hope Inn.

Also, you don’t have to pay for an air-conditioned room when most of the time, you are outside.

You can search for the Tay Miloy’s Inn and or Cliffside Cottages which are perfect for people who have a small budget. The rooms have fans only and they are not beachfront but you can enjoy a fantastic view of mountains.

Eating in El Nido

• Eat in carinderia

Instead of eating in an expensive restaurant, you can roam around and you can find a carinderia which serves delicious but affordable dishes.

Each meal may only cost you around 50 pesos. With this, you can have more money to spend on souvenirs.

But there are also restaurants with cheaper meals such as Skyline Grill and IBR Fast Food.
