What Volunteer Programmes do we offer:

• Short Term International Volunteer projects or “Workcamps” 2-4 weeks in Europe, Russia, Africa, Asia, North and Latin America

• Number of projects available: each year approx. 2000

• Medium Term Projects 3-6 months

• EVS 6 months-Year

What does a project involve:

• A project involves a group of 10-20 people

• The group is made up of many different nationalities

• Volunteers working for 2-3 weeks• The group work together, stay in

the same accommodation, eat and socialise together

• Accommodation can range from camping to staying in hostels.

What types of volunteering can you do:

•Restore a caste in France

•Volunteer in a nature reserve in Italy

•Promote organic farming in Japan

•Help construct a play park in Kenya

•Teach English in Thailand

•Assist with holidays for people with special needs in the USA

How much does it cost and how do you apply for a project:

– Volunteers pay a registration fee of £180 plus their travel and insurance. Food and accommodation are provided free of charge

– Visit Concordia’s website: www.concordiavolunteers.org.uk

– Go to Project Search which will take you to our database of projects. From 1st April there will be over 2000 projects on-line

– The easiest way to select a project is to check what date you want to go away and to which country.

How much does it cost and how do you apply for a project:

– Select the project you would like to go on and its worth having a few choices as the projects do fill up

– Pay on-line and you will hear back between 3 -5 days if you are placed on the project

– Once you are placed then you can book your travel and usual 4 weeks before you go you will get your ‘info sheet’ which gives you all the information you need to know about your project.

– Go and have fun!

What else can you do with Concordia:• EVS (European Voluntary Service) – A fully funded long

term voluntary programme for 6 – 12 months

• Co-ordinate a UK project – lead a group of international volunteers on a UK project

• Internship at the Concordia office

• Learn to become a trainer by helping at our training weekends

• Join a Medium Term Volunteer project 1 – 3 months

• Become a Concordia publicity volunteers and represent us at University fairs
