DESCRIPTION
Lopburi is located 150 km north of Bangkok. It houses interesting historical monuments and a national museum with lots of archaeological finds. Lopburi had its greatest days during the Ayutthaya period, when King Narai the Great made the city his second capital. A lot of diplomatic activity with western nations took place at Lopburi during that time.Cassia fistula, known as the Golden Shower Tree but see below for other names, is a flowering plant in the family Fabaceae, native to southern Asia, from southern Pakistan east through India to Myanmar and south to Sri Lanka. It is the national tree of Thailand and its flower is Thailand's national flower. It is a popular ornamental plant and is an herbal medicine!!!!! This is a notes page presentation. Râul Lopburi
Lop Buri a fost una din vechile capitale ale poporului khmer în epoca de maximã dezvoltare a imperiului Angkor (sec XI-XIII), în secolele VI-IX fiind un important centru religios
Lop Buri s-a dezvoltat în secolul XVII sub dominaţie thailandezã. Regele Narai a ales-o ca şi capitalã pentru a înlocui Ayutthaya în cazul cuceririi acesteia
Dintre clãdirile construite în timpul regelui Narai a rãmas doar Dusit Maha Prasat, ridicatã anume pentru audienţa acordatã de rege ambasadorilor regelui Ludovic XIV în 1685
Lop Buri se află la 154 km nord de Bangkok
Regele Narai a construit palatul Phra Narai Rachanivej ajutat de arhitecţi francezi Zidurile masive au nişe unde în perioadele de sãrbãtoare se aşeazã lumini
Templul celor trei sãgeţi, Phra Prang Sam Yod este format din trei Prang simbolizând cele trei zeitãţi hinduse, Shiva, Vishnu şi Brahma
El a servit iniţial ca templu hindus înainte de a deveni lãcaş sacru budist
La Lop Buri în templul Sarn Prakarn s-a aciuat o colonie de maimuţe
