ThispresentationwillfocusontheprocesstheStateofOregonwentthroughinselectingacommonschedulingtool,thebenefits,andthelessonslearnedthroughouttheprocess.TheOregonStateDataCenter(OSDC)supportedthreeseparateschedulingtoolsbeforeApril.OSDCisnowusingonetoolforscheduling- CAWorkloadAutomationESPEdition.ThispresentationwillalsocoverhowtheStateofOregonconsolidated11agencydatacentersintoonecentraldatacenterandthebenefitsofconsolidation.

§ Reviewswereconductedthroughanacceleratedprocurementprocess

CostWeighted50%oftheoverallscore.TheSDCconductedacostevaluationthatrankthethreeproducts.Thetopvendorreceived50points,thesecondreceived40points,andthethirdreceived30points.
ProductRequirementsWeighted25%oftheoverallscore.Requirementswerecreated,reviewed,andapprovedbytheparticipatingagencies.Vendorsreceivedtherequirementsdocumentforresponseonhowtheirproductaddressedtheserequirements.Thetopvendorreceived25points,thesecond,20points,andthethird,15points.
AgencyRankingsAgenciesevaluatedwhattheylearnedinthevendortraining/demo’sandotherresponsesfromthevendors,toranktheproducts.Thisevaluationisweighted25%oftheoverallscore.Eachparticipatingagencyhadonevote.Thetopvendorreceived25points,thesecond,20points,andthethird,15points.
