Day  1    •  Arrive  at  Sandpiper  CoAages,  Boggomsbaai  -­‐  www.sandpiper.co.za.  Check-­‐in  from  15:00.  •  17:00  -­‐  Bubbles  and  oysters  followed  by  a  tradiIonal  supper  at  the  Sandpiper  Leisure  

Centre.  Typically,  your  menu  will  include  something  like  boboIe  and  salad,  with  braai  broodjies  on  the  kaggel.    

•  During  the  evening,  we’ll  explain  your  programme,  discuss  the  resort’s  bar  and  housekeeping  procedures,  and  introduce  you  to  the  various  acIviIes  available  to  you  during  your  stay.    

 Day  2  •  ConInental  breakfast  plaAer  served  in  your  coAage  •  Guided  walk  to  Fransmanshoek  •  Lunch  on  the  beach  or  at  the  museum  at  Fransmanshoek  •  Road  transfer  back  to  Boggomsbaai    •  ARernoon  at  leisure.  You  could:  

•  Take  a  well-­‐deserved  nap  (no  extra  charge!)  •  Play  tennis  or  squash  at  the  Sandpiper  Leisure  Centre  (no  charge)  •  Spend  Ime  on  the  beach  (bring  your  tackle  and  license  if  you  plan  to  go  fishing)    •  Play  a  round  of  golf  on  Boggomsbaai’s  quaint  country  course  (donaIons  accepted  

in  lieu  of  green  fees);  or  •  Visit  the  vineyards  and  tasIng  room  at  Jakkalsvlei  Private  Cellar  in  Herbertsdale  -­‐

About  the  Point  of  Human  Origins  Cave  Visit  •  The  Pinnacle  Point  Caves  have  revealed  the  earliest  evidence  for  modern  human  behaviour  -­‐  and  geneIc  

evidence  shows  that  all  humans  alive  today  stem  from  a  small  populaIon  of  people  who  survived  an  ice  age  in  our  part  of  Africa  at  the  Ime  the  caves  were  first  inhabited.  So  we  really  are  all  related  -­‐  which  is  why  a  visit  to  these  caves  is  basically  a  pilgrimage  to  our  collecIve  ancestral  home.
