Here's a few thoughts on a possible Dec-Jan trip.

I picked an area just NE of LA, that includes the cities of: Pasadena, Pomona, Claremont Colleges, Hacienda Heights and Arcadia. Of course there are many more if we go a little further beyond this 20 mile "diameter" oval. But this seems to encompass a nice blend of art, history, education + nature-type outings. A drive to something in LA is also an option, although traffic can get a little fierce.

Anyway, just a little follow up to some earlier discussions we had on this option.
