The monastery of the Transfiguration

he Savior Cathedral built on the site of the ancient Cathedral 1216-1224 G. In the Nikon chronicle under the year 1216 recorded: "Prince Constantine founded in Yaroslavl stone Church and monastery of the Holy Transfiguration." The Cathedral was consecrated on 6 August

Masters for the construction of the Cathedral were sent from Moscow, it is expected the participation of Italian architects, from among those who built the cathedrals of the Moscow Kremlin.

The current Cathedral was erected on the old site of the Grand Prince Vasily III, who apparently sent and masters.Transfiguration Cathedral was the main Cathedral of the Saviour monastery in Yaroslavl, which from the first days of its existence was closely linked with the local Ducal house and had a great influence on the political, economic and cultural aspects of life in Yaroslavl.

In the basement of the Saviour Cathedral was the burial place of the Yaroslavl princes, and the monastery was the spiritual mentor in all the Affairs of the princely house. The Cathedral is associated with many significant events of not only the city but also the country.

New stationary circus model of the Soviet project 1,800 people was only built in 1963.[1] In the arena of Yaroslavl circus featured such artists as Yuri Durov, Oleg Popov, Pencil, Igor Kio , Anatoly Latyshev , Andrei Nikolaev , Alan Butaev , Nikolay Pavlenko and many others.

The circus building was the venue for performances of pop stars.[2] the Directors of the circus M. Ziborov, A. Adronov, S. Trachtenberg (1990).

From April 2009 to March 2011 to 1000 anniversary of Yaroslavl was the first for half a century the long reconstruction of the dilapidated building of the circus.[1][3] the opening of the renovated circus was held on 30 March 2011.[4]
