Salta is a province of Argentina, located in the northwest of the country. Neighboring provinces are from the east clockwise Formosa, Chaco, Santiago del Estero, Tucumán and Catamarca. It also surrounds Jujuy. To the north it borders Bolivia and Paraguay and to the west lies Chile.

Climate: The province is located on the tropic of Capricorn, and receives both tropical and temperate influences. There are five main climates in the province: the climate of the Impenetrable to the east, the Yungas, the climate of low valleys (Valles Calchaquies, Valle de Lerma), the climate of the Altiplano, and the climate of the highest peaks.

Salta is one of the most beautiful province of Argentina. There are colorful mountains, there are animals that we can not find here, and typical Salta food.

In Salta there is a train that is called “tren de las nubes”(train of clouds). There you can see all the landscape .

One of the typical food in Salta is called “Empanadas Salteñas” that is a mass of flour and you can put, chicken, meat, ham and cheese, sweet corn, and a lot of other ingredients inside. Another food is sweet corn or Corn salad. It consists of grains of sweet corn, cheese and sugar. All this you put it in the corn ear.

The advantage of Salta is the population , there are a lot of people all the year.

The traditional foods are eaten by all tourists.

The disadvantage is that there are a lot of people that are poor and that causes more contamination and other problems.

In Salta you can do a lot of things, trekking, that is walking in the mountains, rappel, you go down a mountain with a rope and riding horses.

You can also go fishing; lakes are beautiful, but in the dry season, some of them have no water.
