Inspect Your Home

● Check gutters, and clean out any debris, summer rains won't affect your homes as much if your gutters are in good working order.

● Do a safety inspection of children's outdoor play equipment.

● Check washing machine hoses. Replace them if you find cracks or bulges, or if they're over two years old.

● Hold a yard sale. ● Declutter the house and garage to turn trash into fast cash. ● Any items that don't sell donate for the tax deduction.

● Look at your yard and garden for carpenter ants or termites. Call an exterminator if you see signs of infestation.

● Beware of fire ants! If you see telltale mounds, make sure to treat them.

● But keep children and pets away from the mounds and treatment chemicals.

Keep the Exterior Clean, Neat and Odor Free

● Check decks, windows and trim paint, if you need to order paint for touch up in autumn, do so now.

● Eliminate garbage can odor with a can clean-out, rinse garbage cans with a hose, dump the water, and then spray with disinfectant.

● With summer tasks tackled and a jump on fall, you will be able to kick back and relax with peace-of-mind.
