EasternThe Native Americanson the east coast were Fisherman and farmers.They were the first to to encounter many of theEuropeans who came to settle in the new world.

PlainsTribes in the Plains ,the middle of NorthAmerica , largely hunted bison.They were famous for there encounterswith pioneers in the 1800`ssparking many long wars.

NorthwesternThe people in the PacificNorthwest were fisherman.They lived in long housesdesigned to keep them dryfrom rain.Totten Poles were a traditional art practised.

ArcticAlaskan Natives made their own clothes and homes to battle the cold temperatures. Ice fishing and snowshoeing were common in the water.

SouthwesternSouthwestern native Americans made their homes and pots out of clay. They are also famous for making colorfuljewelry.
