Top 3 Spanish Islands

What’s this all about? Many of Europe’s most beautiful islands can be found in Spain’s waters.

There are stunning beaches with white sands and topaz seas, lush mountains, jagged volcanoes and glamourous nightclubs – all accessible and wonderful to travel around.

3. MajorcaMajorca has always had a bit of an image of a package holiday only kind of island but recently it has had a bit of a facelift.

Palma is our favourite spot on the island with its maze of medieval streets that are great to explore and the cathedral is a stunning building that can’t be missed.

Stick around Palma if you want to indulge in a party or two, or find the quieter beaches and the lovely Port Soller. If you’re feeling adventurous, go explore the Cuevas del Drach or take an excursion up the TramantanaMountains.

2. Tenerife The largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is renowned for its electric nightlife, with a many bars and clubs to choose between!

If you’re going to Tenerife solely for the nightlife, then stay around the southern tip of the island which is where you’ll find clubs like Tramps, Monkey Beach Club and the Magic Lounge Club.

There are many excellent dive sites to try out around the island for adventurous holiday makers. If you like the water, visit the beaches and enjoy water sports including water-skiing and jet-skiing. Why not ascend the mountains for a scenic drive and board a cable car to the top of the highest peak in Spain – Tedie.

1. IbizaThe White Isle is all about clubbing. True, it has some great scenery, picture-perfect beaches and even some quiet spots – but we love it because it is the place to go for nightlife.

Pacha is of course the big name on the island, but Amnesia and the Delano beach club are worth trying out too. There are plenty of live music events, from dance to rock so look out for something that catches your fancy.

If you do want a respite from partying then head to the beaches: our two favourites are Cala Vadella beach, which is just a 10 minute drive from San Jose, and Cala San Vincente, whose beach is snuggled into a white sanded cove with views embracing the ocean.

Travel TipsIbiza can be a little intimidating the first time around – so research your hotel and the area you’ll be staying in before you go.

In any of the party areas you visit, make sure you budget for the clubs as you’ll find that all the big names are expensive, whether it is in the Canaries or the Balearics.

Ideal for…?The Spanish islands are great for different types of people. Majorca is probably best suited to people looking for family friendly, inclusive packages.

Ibiza and Tenerife are most visited by groups of young adults looking to enjoy the sun, sea and sand during the day, before partying the night away.
