Arab people love to eat, mostly after the Ramadan fasting

hours and during religious holidays. When passing food or using

hands to touch food, be sure to only use your right hand, as

using the left is considered rude.

HEALTH CAREAbu Dhabi is a very clean and modern city, so there are relatively few health concerns. To guard against the slim possibility of getting sick from unhygienic food, hepatitis A vaccines are advisable and drinking bottled water is advised. 

VISAentrance requirements for visitors to the United Arab Emirates are quite difficult and subject to regular change; therefore, you are advised to check the current regulations before going to Abu Dhabi.

CURRENCYThe official UAE currency is the dirham. There are 5, 10, 25 and 50 fil coins and a 1 dirham coin, while notes include denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 dirham. Credit cards are widely accepted more in the up market segments of Abu Dhabi's business and services.

ABU DHABI ETIQUETTEAs Abu Dhabi is an Islamic city, care should be taken to dress predictably when in public, especially during any religious holiday period. Tourists are not expected to cover their hair or wear the black abaya.
