We began our vacation by treating ourselves to a late lunch at Conejito’s. Only the best for us!!


50 years

Arrival to General Mitchell was earlier than expected. Good thing we had our books.

We did have an interesting sighting at the airport.

No, it wasn’t a UFO, Elvis, Bruce Lee, Amelia Earhart, or even Douglas Adams….

Andre the Giant! He did not pass away in 1993... (s)he is now living in Milwaukee as a woman, working as a TSA agent at the checked bag screening machine at General Mitchell Airport.

On to O’Hare, Chicago…

25 minute flight…

30 minutes taxiing to the gate.

We hoofed it over to the international terminal and read until it was time to board. The terminal was sweltering! I actually had to take a paper-towel shower while we waited.

Up, up, and away….!!!

Once on board, we were instantly greeted by the flight attendants with a glass of champagne. Honestly, we could totally get used to this 1st Class travel stuff!!!

The 1st Class Pods: WOW. Not even close to what we were expecting!!! These are slick!

Not too long after dinner we drifted off to sleep… because we could.

Did we mention that we strongly recommend 1st Class.
