Salford Quays

• Theme: The architectural structures of Salford Quays.

Predicted final outcome

• I think the final outcome will be some black and white photos in the style of Ansel Adams and also some photos that are enhanced by the colour that is already in the photo.

• I want to take these photographs because of the architectural buildings and public art. And also because of the skyline and all these other reasons such as the Lowry being a very artistic building which means it will look good in photos.

Reasons

Ansel Adams

I like Ansel Adams work because of the simplicity of it and the fact it is inBlack and white is a way of showing that you don’t need colour to make A good photograph, he made me want to take photographs like this because Of that reason and makes it more of a challenge also.

Clifton CarrI like Clifton Carrs work because I think that the colour in it brings out a vibrancy Which makes it very noticeable and the reason I do photos with lots of colour Is because of this reason.

Galen Rowell

I have also taken inspiration from Galen RowellAs the source of many of his photographs are that ofVibrant colours in natural circumstances such as Horizons, sunsets, clouds in sunset and other such Occurrences of these colours.

Techniques that will be used and how they will help convey the visual

message • The shutter speed will be a fast one

in some photos to convey purely the buildings and setting itself. And also a slow shutter speed to show blurred people in the background for an added effect. And also the rule of three, and other techniques like framing and aperture and also manual exposure.

• The date will be November 19th from 9.30 till 12.30 at Salford Quays
