“I want to work for a company that has a great reputation”

“I want to do a good job in the right job – somewhere where I can use my skills”

“I want to work with people who are good role models and can teach me something”

“I want to be able to tell people where I work and for them to respect me”

Five factors of PRIDE

PURPOSE• The raison d’être for the company, the unique vision,

something that is meaningful and proudly shared.

REPUTATION• The external image of the company, the way it is talked

about by a company, its customers, in the trade and the media.

INTEGRITY• The ‘inner truth’ of the organisation, evidence of

whether the reputation is genuine and the inside story reflects the desired outside image.

DIRECTION• Where the company is going, its future focus, its

development strategy and its path to reaching its future goals. Ditto, employees’ personal and professional growth prospects.

ENERGY• The physical, emotional and organisational energy, the

processes that support the operation, the work ethic and the stamina will all contribute to the sustainability of a business.
