Pre-drill MeetingExplaining the purpose and procedure of the drill to all sub-contractor, staff, and client representatives.

On-spot indication of Fire muster point with sub-contractors , staff and client.

FIRE ALARM RANG (IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS) &STAFFS START TO EVACUATE

After checking all staffs had left, safety officer closed the entrance before he left the site office.

Workers & staffs from different locations rushed to the muster-point .

Appointed Fire warden arrived earlier and waiting for their workers.

BRIEFING ABOUT THE PROCEDURES & IMPORTANCE OF THE DRILL

Workers, staffs & client listened very carefully.

RESCUE DRILL STARTED after FIRE DRILL Section.Explaining the scenario of the drill:A staff hurt her forearm during evacuation. First aider was called to provide First treatment before sending the injured to hospital for further medical treatment.

FIRST AID TREATMENT WAS CONDUCTED

After first-aid treatment, the injured was waiting for delivery to hospital; while the contract car arrived in 3 minutes and take the injured for further medical treatment.

After Q/A section, the HSE manager thanks everybody’s participation and announced the completion of the drill. All attendees were released. The time was: 12:30

FINDING & RECOMMENDATIONS The ‘fire’ started at 11:40 and all workers /staffs / clients

gathered at 11:56 upon their signing of attendance. (143 had signed for their attendance)

The timing can be controlled better, it was expected to be under 10 minutes as the site area is not that big and muster point is not remote.

Recommended by Mr. Matthew Lau that more manual alarm should be set up in site area.

Demonstration of using fire extinguisher can be arranged next time.
